Oval Face

This is generally the ideal face structure since it can wear any hairstyle and look good. The length of the face is about 1.5 times the width of the face. And it's overall contour is proportionate.

There are considerations to take when choosing a hairstyle for this facial type, such as accessories. Accessorizing will generally have some dictation of the hair style.

Round Face

This face strutcure consists of a rounded hairline, rounded chin, and a wide face.

When deciding upon a hair style for this type of face be sure to place some hair over the ears and cheeks. You can also style the bang off to one side, showing a bit of ear on the other side.

Square Face

Generally a straight hairline, square jawline, and wide face.

The best hairstyle for this face shape is one that should lift off the forehead and come foreward at the temples and jawline. This will create the illusion of narrowness and softness in the face.

Pear Shaped Face

This face usually has a narrow forehead, wide jaw, and a wide chin.

A full and high hairstyle will work well with this face. Cover part of the forehead with a bit of hair. A semi-curl or soft wave effect should cover the ears. This makes the forehead have more width.

Oblong Face

A long, narrow face with hallow cheeks.

The goal is to make the face appear shorter and wider by styling bangs or curls. The sides should be full and close to the cheek to create width.

Try to reduce the width across the cheeks in order to create an oval appearance. Keep the hair close to the head.

Heart Shaped Face

A wide forehead and narrow chinline.

Reduce the width of the forehead with partial bangs on both sides. These can be flipped or slanted to one side. Add width and softness the jawline. Increase width to the bottom of the face.
